Aelia Flavia Flaccilla, daughter of the prefect of Gaul, Antonius, was born in Spain and was the first wife of Theodosius I.

Though she died in Thrace in the year 388 AD, early in her husband's reign, she was the mother of three children with him - two sons Arcadius and Honorius, were to become the rulers of the eastern and western halves of the empire and a daughter Pulcheria.
