Grade:     Good VF
Notes:     Extremely rare; second known "Phanes" hekte, the first known with type right. This hekte is associated with the Ephesian coins signed Faenos emi shma (“I am the badge of Phanes”) and Faenos (“Phanes”). While the larger staters and trites bear these signatures, the known hekte and hemihektes do not. Nevertheless, the style of the obverse stag, and unusual reverse incuse are identical among these coinages. The weights of the smaller coins are also commensurate with a fractional coinage of the larger denominations.
